About the Artist

Lydia R. Watson, New Jersey USA. She enjoys experimenting with diverse mediums.

“With temperaments varying from placidly involving to fiercely kinetic, Lydia explores myriad avenues of visual expression, actualizing effects as diverse as her intentions and procedures. An underlying zeal for the arrangement of impact and mood distinguishes her quest for significant and pleasurable creation.” -Book Art Press

Picasso had his blue period and Watson her black & white; 2005 EN REALTE` ARTE exhibitions showcased artwork in which Lydia used a limited palette along with recycled materials to create her paintings.

She studied with Nevad Art Studio and has also attended Ducret School of Art. Lydia is a recipient of various awards for her artistic contributions. Her paintings are in private and corporate art collections.

Lydia has been exhibiting her artwork since 1990. Showing her work as far a field as Beijing, China and other venues throughout the tri-state area ...

The most recent project I'm working on is to produce an Art Book entitled "Plainfield in '08 through the Eyes of Watsart" ... looking forward to things coming together so that the book may be released sometime this Fall or no later than Spring of 2010 - check back later this year for more info, okay.
